Pray for Your Spiritual Lineage.

2 Timothy 1:3-5: I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy. I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. 

Try to recall all the people involved in your coming to Christ. Remember that all of those people were also led to Christ and helped along in their walk by other people, and so on, back and back for millennia. Thank God for putting those people in your life and for orchestrating all those relationships. Ask him to give you a vision for all the people you could impact by pouring into your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors. It is possible that you could impact countless lives – even people yet unborn, by your investment in the people around you right now. Ask God to use you in a powerful way for the movement of his kingdom and for a significant participation in a spiritual lineage that spans far back in time and into all eternity.
