OUR LEADERS

Sonija Scavuzzo

Hello! I joined the staff of Grace Church in August 2012 and currently serve as the Director of Intergenerational Ministries. This role is rooted in the intergenerational vision expressed in Psalm 78:4-8 – verse 4 says, “We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord about his power and his mighty wonders.” At Grace Church, we are fully committed to kids and students. We unapologetically devote major resources and energy towards shaping a God-centered worldview during a person’s prime developmental years – this is one of our values! To that end, I serve to integrate and harmonize our intergenerational
vision in partnership with our Campus Pastor, by providing ongoing coaching and equipping to early and next generation ministry leaders, interns, and residents. My husband, Rick, our two sons and I began attending Grace Church at the Bath Campus in 2008. Because of the church’s clear vision and purpose to reach the community and make disciples, we quickly knew we were “home.” After getting involved in POWER Kids and leading a life group, we eventually became part of the launch team for the Medina East Campus. The rest, as they say, is history! I am passionate to bring to life the mission of the church through the transforming power of the Gospel in every generation. I am also an avid Ohio sports fan!

We hope you’ll find that Grace is somewhere that you can feel comfortable to explore faith, ask questions, grow spiritually, and connect with others. And most importantly, of course, we hope you connect with God!
